Twigs and Leaves

It was a back to nature day for me in the studio today. I had some leaves that I had made from ceramic clay using the leaves from my lamb’s ear plant to make an impression in the clay. A piece of driftwood from the Tennessee River served as the twig from which the leaves could dangle.

These leaves were impressions of my apple mint, strung with wooden and glass beads with a vintage button for a closure.

These can be found at our First Thursday Artisans Party tomorrow night (June 7) from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Wall Candy Custom Framing and Gallery in beautiful downtown Columbia, Tennessee. Come enjoy the food, wine, live music, and local art. Help us to revive downtown Columbia with the arts!
