Two Shows In One Day

Busy, busy! Two shows in one day!  On Thursday of next week, in the morning, the long awaited Silo Studio’s Studio Thursday is taking place. Shawn has been working tirelessly to stock an amazing array of fun and funky furniture and accessories. Please come out and help support Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue.  The show is from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Pack it all up and set up again in downtown Columbia at Wall Candy on West 7th Street, near the square for a show to benefit the Maury County Arts Guild and the Polk Theatre Project. A portion of the proceeds will go to the purchase and renovation of the old Polk movie theatre. They have great plans for bringing the arts to downtown Columbia and helping to revive the downtown area.  The show begins at 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm with food and live music.  Many local artists will have their work on display for sale. The show will continue on Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and again on Saturday. My work will only be there on Thursday and Friday.  Come on out and show your support.

Make Every Day A Masterpiece

Inspiration House

Whether you call yourself an artist or not, you can be creative in every aspect of your life. Put a bit of play into your everyday humdrum and look at the beauty around you, or look at something that is not beautiful or think of how to change it. Put your fingerprint on it. Enjoy the process. Don’t always be about seeking praise for what you have done. Do it because it adds beauty to your life or even as a secret blessing to someone else.

Misty Morning

I just received a box of goodies from Steph in Belgium. I was inspired to make several necklaces from some of the elements. It’s amazing what a couple of interesting focal pieces can do to bring together random beads and things that I already have. Merci Beaucoup Steph!  Vacation is fun, but I love being in my studio. I wish I could take it with me when I go places. It’s good to be home.

This one was a spiral shell pendant which I paired with some faux bone polymer clay beads that I made and ceramic, metal, and jade beads.

This interesting pendant is combined with glass beads and some cool chain that I found when Steph and I were shopping while she was here.

I think she brought this central bead when she was visiting here and then she sent me some of the aqua stones which I combined with some I already had. The big bead is made of some type of threads encased in resin.
