A Circle With A Hole

Circle inspirations, joined hand in hand…a lovely aqua ceramic disc from Vladthebatsattic, a beach stone from the Florida coast, a cast pewter element, a lampworked bead, and a coin carry the theme.

Having Some Fun Now

I had a bright and yummy surprise on a gray, wintry day. Goodies from Steph in Belgium! Merci beaucoup my friend! There are some goodies headed your way too!

I’ve really been having a lot of fun in the studio with my metal melding! It’s good to have the inspiration and the time to spend in the studio coincide. A couple of these have already sold, but the rest will be either at Wall Candy Gallery in Columbia, or Cliques Hair Salon. Our First Thursday Artisans Party is coming up next week!

I keep test driving the one above. I’m going to have a hard time parting with this one. I don’t keep many for myself, but I do have my favorites. Each one is unique and I rarely repeat one exactly.

I hope you can all come out and join the fun next Thursday at Wall Candy!

Goodies In My Mailbox

Merci Boucoup to my friend Steph for the goodies that she sent to me. There is always something in her gifts to inspire me to run to the studio, and something yummy to satisfy my Belgian chocolate craving.

This yummy elephant focal is one of her creations. I was inspired by her jewelry to create something with it in a tribal style. This will be at Wall Candy at this month’s First Thursday Artisans Party. Hope to see you there!

More Goodies

Merci Beaucoup to Steph! Fun goodies from Belgium. The only thing missing is the chocolate. It never seems to make it into the picture. Now I’m ready to head to the studio and create. I’m really anxious to try out the Porcelaine markers!

Yummy Goodies

This is possibly a first. I managed to take a photo of the chocolate before it vanished! Another package of goodies from Steph arrived in my mailbox, unglazed clay pendants and beads, yummy sari yarn, and chocolate covered orange peels. Yes Steph, I am sharing them. :-) Merci Beaucoup!   Check out her Etsy shop!

Misty Morning

I just received a box of goodies from Steph in Belgium. I was inspired to make several necklaces from some of the elements. It’s amazing what a couple of interesting focal pieces can do to bring together random beads and things that I already have. Merci Beaucoup Steph!  Vacation is fun, but I love being in my studio. I wish I could take it with me when I go places. It’s good to be home.

This one was a spiral shell pendant which I paired with some faux bone polymer clay beads that I made and ceramic, metal, and jade beads.

This interesting pendant is combined with glass beads and some cool chain that I found when Steph and I were shopping while she was here.

I think she brought this central bead when she was visiting here and then she sent me some of the aqua stones which I combined with some I already had. The big bead is made of some type of threads encased in resin.
