From The Workbench

I have a wonderful client who has been having me rescue some of her old jewelry and also to take some beads and other elements and combine them into something wearable. She found these beautiful African trade beads and chunks of turquoise and asked me to make them into a necklace. Here is the result, photographed on a photo that she did of a sunrise.

Then, my very creative friend Steph sent me a package of goodies. I took a picture of the things that she sent, but for some reason I can’t find it. I can show you what I did with some of the clay beads that she sent. The aqua colored donut shaped focals and the clay button clasp on the necklace above were from her and also the similar one on the necklace below.

The necklace below is some more of my metal melding. I found some orphan earrings in some old jewelry of my mom’s and the little starburst in the center is one of them. The dangles are torch fired enamel on copper.

Currently you can find my jewelry at Wall Candy Custom Framing and Gallery and Cliques Hair Salon in Columbia, TN. Also, if you are not local, just send me an email or a comment and I would be happy to conduct a transaction by mail.
